Whistleblowing

The act of reporting inappropriate workplace behavior is known as "whistleblowing". The inappropriate behavior may involve violations of laws, regulations, company policies and procedures, as well as actions that harm or are likely to harm the reputation and/or financial state of the company.

When Should I Report

  • Misuse of authority
  • Charges of bribery and corruption
  • Violations of legal and regulatory standards
  • Noncompliance with internal policies
  • Fraud or theft
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Violating environmental and health regulations
  • Discrimination / Harassment of all forms / Bullying
  • Misconduct and misappropriation of company assets

Confidentiality

  • Complaints can be submitted anonymously
  • All complaints will be treated as confidential
  • The identity of individuals will be kept confidential throughout the investigation process
  • Only individuals who provide their name and contact details will receive updates on the progress and outcomes of the investigation

Investigation

  • Investigations of all concerns will be carried out thoroughly, independently, objectively and instantly
  • Investigations are conducted by APIC Audit Department; however, management and relevant personnel at the company may be consulted for necessary information

Protection

  • Individuals should be able to express legitimate concerns without fear of retaliation
  • Anyone who believes they have been treated negatively as a result of filing a complaint should report the incident immediately
